Dana Norris is the founder and high priestess of the Story Club franchise. She produces and hosts Story Club North Side at Holiday Club in Chicago. She once went on a lot of internet dates and she writes about those mistakes for the website Role Reboot and she teaches at StoryStudio Chicago. She has been published in McSweeney's Internet Tendency, The Rumpus, the Tampa Review, and her stories have been featured on WBEZ (91.5 FM) and Vocalo.org (89.5 FM). She performs around Chicago with Mortified, The Paper Machete, The Kates, Essay Fiesta, This Much is True, Write Club, Guts and Glory, and many others. You can see her upcoming performance schedule at dananorris.net.
Dana is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Northwestern University. She loves hosting Story Club and she especially loves it when someone reads for the very first time.
Lindsey Crane is a Story Club intern who is pursuing an MA in Writing and Publishing at DePaul University. As a native Cape Codder (yes, people are actually from Cape Cod), she’s acclimating to city life. Lindsey is primarily interested in nonfiction, although she’s recently discovered she enjoys writing fiction, as well. A magnet for the bizarre, which she likes documenting, she dreams of one day being like the female David Sedaris. She's psyched to be a part of Story Club.
